Staci Anderson
President and Chief Executive Officer

Staci has over twenty years experience in the prevention field including eighteen years experience managing multiple Federal, State, County, and Private Foundation contracts. She has served as the Executive Director of People Reaching Out for the past seven years. Prior to her work with People Reaching Out, she worked for 13 years with CommuniCare Health Clinics, a non-profit organization addressing the health needs of medically underserved populations in Yolo County. She participates on multiple coalitions that promote interagency collaboration for a drug free community such as the newly formed "Ready By 21". In addition, she serves as Chair of Project HELP, a Sacramento County Drug/Alcohol Coalition and is a graduate of Sacramento Metro Chambers Leadership Class (2003) and the CitiBank CEO Training class of 2005.


Phyllis Deats

Phyllis has been on the People Reaching Out team since July 2005. She is currently the Deputy Director of Finance & Human Resources. She also assists with the People Reaching Out programs in Yolo County, including the Parenting for Prevention Parent-Teen Workshop Series in Woodland and school-based counseling services in West Sacramento. Phyllis grew up in Woodland and now resides in Elk Grove with her husband Ed, daughter Laura, canines Smoochie and Max-a-Million, and felines Boo-Boo and Sophie. In her spare time she enjoys good restaurants and time spent with good friends.

Heather joined the PRO family in 2002 after moving to Sacramento from Fresno where she earned her B.S. in Recreation Administration from Fresno State - GO DOGS! As the Director of Youth Services she oversees our PRO After School cross-age youth mentoring program. Heather earned her certification as a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Facilitator, certified through the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. Heather is also the self- appointed "Social Committee Chairwoman" and enjoys planning staff potlucks, karaoke Fridays and office theme days. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, going to movies and decorating!


Erika Green, M.S.

Erika is the Director of Youth and Community Prevention and has been with the PRO family for five years. After receiving her Masters of Science degree in Criminal Justice from California State University Sacramento, Erika was inspired to give back by becoming a mentor while working in the prevention field. It was through her engagement in youth prevention programs that she gained a rich expertise in youth development, substance abuse prevention, violence prevention, research and evaluation. In her current position at PRO, Erika is responsible for directing the Students Reaching Out program and coordinating local coalitions to address substance use and availability in their communities. In her spare time, Erika enjoys going out to new restaurants with her husband, reading, cooking and decorating.


Kathy Green

Director of Counseling and Support Services

Kathy is a Marriage and Family Therapist intern who joined People Reaching Out as Counseling Manager in January 2006. She co-facilitates the Parenting for Prevention Parent-Teen Workshop Series for parents and their teens. In addition, Kathy teaches psychoeducation classes on various parenting topics for community groups, corporations, and community college programs. She is also a member of the board for the California Valley Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. To keep balance in her life, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son and their spouses, and five grandchildren, playing board games, taking walks, or cooking together.


Joan Barrow
Administrative Assistant

Joan is the Administrative Assistant for People Reaching Out which means she multi-tasks as person in charge of the website, database, AP, supplies, and a host of other duties as assigned. She has worked as an administrative assistant for 14 years in Sacramento and Ukiah, California. She moved to the Sacramento area in 2005 with her husband. She loves how People Reaching Out's programs change the lives of the participating youth and families and also the staff who put so much of their hearts into their work. Her personal passion is wildlife conservation. She also enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, art and going to beautiful places in Nature.

Lisa Borrego, M.A.

Lisa has over thirteen years of experience in the areas of community development and education. She has coordinated several community projects in the Sacramento Region that include partnerships with the Florin Mall in South Sacramento and California State University, Sacramento. Other community projects include collaborations with school districts interested in developing positive community relationships with local non-profits, law enforcement, county agencies and other private organizations. She has successfully implemented several youth development, education, health and human service grants that led to multiple funding opportunities for a variety of communities.

Bobby Clark

Bobby joined the PRO team in 2009. He is pursuing his M.A. in Educational Administration and Leadership at the University of the Pacific. He currently works at two PRO After School high school/elementary school mentoring sites: Encina High School and Greer Elementary School as well as John F. Kennedy High School and Martin Luther King Jr. K-8 School. He also coaches JV Boys Basketball at Encina High School and absolutely loves it. He is very close to his family and has great friends that mean the world to him. He has a Siberian Husky mix that he loves. His interests include outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, wakeboarding and surfing. He enjoys traveling, live music, experiencing new foods and cultures. One of his goals in life is to learn as many different languages as possible.


Jeff Katz

Jeff joined People Reaching Out in April of 2008 and currently works in the PRO After School program at Valley High School and Jackman Middle School. Jeff graduated from Sacramento State University in May of 2008 (GO HORNETS!) with a degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration. Jeff has worked with both Sacramento and Bay Area youth for the past nine years in various setting such as after school programs, summer camps and youth sports. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys watching movies, listening to music and hanging out with friends.


Glennielyn Pacheco

Glennielyn currently facilitates the Students Reaching Out program at Valley High School, Encina Preparatory High School and Jackman Middle School where students are given the opportunity to become youth advocate leaders. She was a Service Learning Student volunteer for PRO After School at McClatchy High School and Bret Harte Elementary. Shorly after she graduated in December of 2008 with a B.A. in Child Development she joined the PRO family. Glennielyn is happy to be apart of an organization that is committed to the youth and community where she can passionately and enthusiastically work with the youth. Glennielyn enjoys bringing her dogs Biggie and Snoop to the park, going to the gym, and indulging in good food and trying new restaurants with good company.


Jayna Record

Jayna found PRO while attending her first semester at Sacramento State University. She began working on site at PRO as a service learning student in the fall of 2007. She joined the staff shortly after as a Program Site Coordinator for PRO After School, and has enjoyed every minute of it! She is currently working at two high school/elementary mentoring combination sites: West Campus High School and Mark Twain Elementary as well as CK McClatchy High School and Bret Harte Elementary School. She graduated from Sac State in May of 2009 with a B.A. in Sociology. Her favorite thing in the world is working with children, but she also loves to travel, watch movies and swim!
